Clayton Cortez is a multi-talented individual, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He producers Movies, TV / Radio & News Shows, Stage Plays, Fashion Shows, Concerts and more. He also has the skills in acting, modeling, directing and writing.

Clayton Cortez work experience in web design, web programming, photography, digital video editing, motion graphics and graphic design gave him the passion to open up his company called "Clayton Cortez Studios" in 2007 .


Clayton Cortez has completed internships at the Saginaw, Mich. CBS affiliate WNEM TV5, gained hands-on experience training with Joel Boykin, a videographer at Detroit’s NBC affiliate WDIV TV4, worked as producer for the OUTV program “Best Tech," as well as for WXOU 88.3 FM ‘s "Let's Talk." and obtain an all paid internship for National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ) 2012 Conference.


Clayton Cortez had an opportunity to appeared and act in a National Touring Stage play called, “Church Girls” produced by Ms. Angela Barrow- Dunlap. Clayton began to act in this play, touring and acting side by side with actress Robin Givens, Grammy Award Winning Gospel Artist Karen Clark-Sheards and from Tyler Perry’s “House of Pain” Demetria McKinney and many others on the hit stage play “Church Girls”. He has also been seen on ABC sitcoms “Detroit 187” and Disney “Wannabe”. He has received training from Actress Robin Givens from the “Art of Acting” workshop where he was given personal training with her.

Clayton is also an active member of the National Association of Black Journalist. Through this network of journalist Clayton also obtained mentorship and training from Vickie Thomas (WWJ 950 AM), Andrew Humpany (WDIV Channel 4), Alicia Nails (Director of the Journalism Institute for Media Diversity) and Carlton Winfrey (Detroit Free Press). Currently Clayton is the founder and co-chair of the Digital Media Committee for the local Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Broadcast Journalist.

Clayton Cortez is a motivated and determined individual. He believes in pursuing his dreams, working hard and is always willing to learn. This young man believes in dedication, discipline, having the desire and determination to always produce quality work. From his previous education and work experience he continues to produce events, act, model, and showcase his journalist training on TV and Radio. His favorite quote comes from the bible, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.
